Life at The Dojo

We’ve been hanging out at Hacker Dojo in Mountain View lately and the people have been great! We’ve had the opportunity to meet people working on all kinds of interesting start-up projects. From robotics to a social collaboration site for dads who want to be great parents, there are a number of innovative ideas people are working hard to build. We have been warmly received and are truly enjoying our time here.

Five Guys Visit Five Guys

Maybe it was fate, but the day before we came to Hacker Dojo, a Five Guys Burgers and Fries, opened up right around the corner in Sunnyvale. Naturally, we had to make a visit for our team lunch. The consensus is that the burgers rivals In-N-Out and has more of a ‘great burger from the grill at a family reunion’ feel to it. The toppings for your burger are custom ordered so you have the freedom to select exactly what you want and to try different combinations. The double patties on the burgers were a surprise. The fries are big tasty steak fries which we all enjoyed. You can taste the freshness in the food. The place looks like In-N-Out on the inside and it’s clearly a hit because the place was packed. The only negatives are the food is slightly pricey and the “Order Online” feature needs some QA (ordering as a group was confusing as items were being deleted or not captured correctly). All-in-all, Five Guys is great and gets 5 big smiles from these 5 guys!
